Andrea and Omar | An Autumn Historic Shady Lane Wedding in York, PA

On September 28, 2025, Andrea and Omar celebrated their Historic Shady Lane wedding in York, Pennsylvania. Surrounded by 100 of the people who love them most, they said “I do” on a perfect early autumn day. The sun was warm, the lawns were deep green, and golden light lingered all evening.

Andrea and Omar call New Jersey home. However, with family here in the area, they came to York to get married. They chose Historic Shady Lane, one of York’s hidden gems, for its greenery and its greenhouse. Most of all, they wanted every moment captured alongside those views. With acres of land, there is a beautiful new backdrop around every corner.

Omar brought the energy all day long, and he was fun, loud, and outgoing in the best way. Meanwhile, Andrea’s smile never seemed to leave her face. From a relaxed morning to a full dance floor, their day was full of laughter, family, and real moments. Here are some of our favorites.

Getting Ready

The day started slowly and sweetly. First, Andrea’s gown hung from the old stone cottage, catching the morning sun. Meanwhile, her bridesmaids laughed together on the lawn in matching green robes. Inside, the invitation suite and rings sat among white roses and greenery.

Across the property, Omar’s groomsmen helped him with the final touches. For example, one of them straightened his bow tie before the big moment. Then it was Andrea’s turn. Surrounded by the women closest to her, she stepped into her dress. Moments later, she stood on the stone steps outside, ready to be married.

A Historic Shady Lane Wedding Ceremony

The ceremony took place in front of the greenhouse, framed by a stone wall and tall trees. First, bridesmaids in emerald gowns took their places as Omar waited at the front. Then the whole garden stood as Andrea walked down the aisle with her father.

We loved the moment her father handed her off to Omar. From there, the ceremony felt warm and personal. Andrea could not stop smiling during the vows, and the ring exchange was full of quiet joy. Finally, after the kiss, they walked back up the aisle through a shower of petals and cheers.

Historic Shady Lane Wedding Portraits

Historic Shady Lane gave us so many beautiful places to work with. First, we walked the flagstone path between the old stone pillars. Next, we found a wooden footbridge under the trees, where the late afternoon light filtered through the leaves.

After that, we crossed the lawn below the estate’s terraced gardens. Finally, we finished between the white columns as the sun dropped low. Omar could not stop making Andrea laugh, and she ended the session twirling her gown. These two made it easy.

A tip for couples considering Historic Shady Lane: the property is large, so build extra time into your timeline for portraits. Thankfully, the staff helped us get around on golf carts from start to finish. As a result, we reached every spot we wanted.

Details and Decor

The reception tent felt like a garden party. Long wooden farm tables sat alongside tables dressed in soft blush linens. In addition, every table had greenery runners, deep green napkins, and glowing glassware. White orchids and roses from Laura of Lauxmont spilled across the head table, and chandeliers hung overhead.

The cake from The Flour Child sat on a simple wood slice. Behind it, the tall grasses of the garden made it a perfect fit for the natural feel of the day.

The Reception

The newlyweds made their grand entrance as Mr. and Mrs. Austin to “24K Magic.” Right away, Omar’s arms went straight up in the air, and the tent was on its feet.

Then everything slowed down for their first dance to “Made” by Spencer Crandall. Andrea and Omar held each other close while their guests looked on. It was one of the sweetest moments of the night. Afterward, heartfelt toasts filled the tent with laughter.

Once LevelUP Entertainment opened the dance floor, it never emptied. We have seen them at other weddings, and once again, they did not disappoint. Andrea tossed her bouquet to a crowd of eager hands, and friends danced in every color of dress. Of course, Omar showed off some serious moves. It was the perfect ending to a day full of joy.
